Lorie Stein
My husband, LaVerne (Vern), and I met at St. Mary of the Plains College and moved back “home” (Spearville) in 2000 so that he could continue the farming/ranching business that has been in his family for several generations. We have four children, the youngest of whom will graduate from Spearville High School in May 2022. I have been an educator in the Spearville School District since 2000. My teaching duties at that time included middle school computers and high school mathematics. In 2007, I completed a Master’s Degree in School Counseling through Fort Hays State University and began working in the district as the school counselor while still teaching a couple of high school classes. In 2019, I returned to the high school mathematics classroom in Spearville full-time. In addition to teaching and counseling, I have also coached basketball and track, held class sponsor duties, and worked with Dodge City Community College as our local outreach coordinator. My family has certainly been blessed by being a part of the Spearville community. It has been an honor for me to be a part of this project! Kelly Tasset
